Charlene Mortale
Charlene Mortale is the division vice president, project management at Greenscreen. Mortale has been with Greenscreen since 2007; it was her first job after attending architecture school at the Southern California Institute of Architecture. A project manager from the start, she has been focused on maintaining the highest level of customer service possible. She also earned her LEED AP BD+C designation in 2013. In her previous life she worked in the fields of psychiatry and psychology.
She has been known to have extreme bicycle commutes, is on a continuous quest to discover that next great bottle of wine, loves adventures with her family, and tries not to spend too much time on the newest cable TV series.
Reuben Freed
Reuben Freed is a green wall consultant and the former director of research at Greenscreen. He hails from South Africa by way of Canada and the UK. His background is in architecture (B.Arch. Wits.), and he has also had a career as a motion picture production designer. He made the transition from design and the film industry to his abiding interest—sustainable innovation in green infrastructure and structured landscape strategy. He enjoys reading, writing, exploring, and bird-watching.
Anna Zakrisson
Anna Zakrisson is a biologist with a passion for urban sustainability. She is the cofounder and chief science officer of iimpcoll, held leadership positions at companies like Green Roof Diagnostics, and has served as a guest researcher at Leibniz Institute. Zakrisson earned degrees from prestigious institutions like the University of Cambridge and Max-Planck Institute and holds a Ph.D. from Stockholm University. Her professional goal is to support sustainable data-driven business decisions while helping combat greenwashing along the way.
